Nominalisation dalam Roman La Bête Humaine Karya Émile Zola

This study aims to describe the nominalization of French in the roman la Bête Humaine by Êmile Zola. The research method in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The object of this study is the roman la Bête Humaine by Êmile Zola. In the roman, there are 12 chapters with 323 pages. However, the author limits this study by only examining chapter 1 in the roman La Bête Humaine by Êmile Zola, which consists of 27 pages from pages 2-28. This study only focuses on the nominalization process found in chapter 1 of the roman La Bête Humaine by Êmile Zola. Data were analyzed by identifying, classifying, interpreting, and making conclusions. The results of the study show that in the roman La Bête Humain by Émile Zola, in part 1 covering pages 2-28, there is only nominalization with derivational affixation, namely by adding suffixes to the root word or radical to form nouns, while nominalization with conversion is not found in the roman La Bête Humaine by Êmile Zola in part 1 pages 2-28. In the nominalization of the data, 11 suffixes play a role in nominalization with derivational affixation; these suffixes are the suffixes -ement, -ation, -ance, -eur, -age, -oir, -otte, -ité, -té, -ien, -esse.
