PENANGANAN DOKUMENTASI BAHASA MELAYU SAMBAS MENJADI KAMUS BAHASA DAERAH UNTUK MELESTARIKAN KHAZANAH BAHASA

Abstract

This study aimed to describe Malay dictionary Sambas in making the region in an effort to preserve the language kazanah. In the data collection method is used or penyimakan see, the method of data collection by the road listening to the use of language (Sudaryanto, 1993: 2). In this case the use of Malay Sambas, as the basic techniques used in this study, the technique of tapping. The results showed that: 1) Documentation ideal language is a recording that can be used for the next generation and public speaker whose identity is still unknown. 2). Malay Sambas is one of the oldest existing Malay in Borneo, based on the theory of Sambas Malay language is Malay Primitive .. 3) In general, the goal is open the dictionary to find the meaning or the meaning of a word. Therefore, the first dictionary function is to explain the significance or meaning of a word. 4) Preparation Malay dictionary obtained from the collection of the Malay language vocabulary smabas hyang interpreted into nahasa Indonesia then made into Sambas Malay dictionary. 5) Preserving the local language in Indonesia is to raise awareness of every citizen of any ethnic group on the importance of their local languages. The extinction of their language will cause the loss of their culture.
