This paper describes the podcast production by the youth community due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Combining netnography, participatory action research, and oral tradition methodologies, we show that firstly podcast provides a space for intergeneration to have a historical discussion. Podcast also augments an opportunity for the youth villager to have a voice in their community and give their “own” history a voice and vehicle. Secondly, the podcast serves as a space for unveiling the hidden history and discussing events or places that have historical values. In this context, podcasts become a collective archiving medium. It also allows for the exchange of memories and reproduces them as new knowledge in the village. Thirdly, podcast production activities have encouraged social and cultural changes. Finally, we argue that podcast provides alternative sources for local history studies that accommodate the voices of undercurrents and ordinary people.
