Peer Review Process
Cakrawala Listra is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and quality through a rigorous peer review process. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a thorough evaluation to ensure that published articles meet the standards of originality, scholarly rigor, and relevance with the focus and scope outlined on the Focus and Scope page.
The peer review process is as follows:
-
Initial Submission and Editorial Screening
Upon submission, manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to assess their alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, adherence to submission guidelines, and overall suitability for peer review. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage or returned to the author for revision. -
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The journal employs a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both the author’s and reviewers’ identities remain anonymous to promote impartiality. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:-
Originality and significance of the contribution.
-
Theoretical and methodological rigor.
-
Clarity and coherence of the argument.
-
Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.
-
Quality of writing and adherence to academic standards.
-
-
Reviewers’ Recommendations
Reviewers provide detailed feedback and recommend one of the following:-
Accept without revisions.
-
Accept with minor revisions.
-
Revise and resubmit (major revisions required).
-
Reject.
The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers and the complexity of the manuscript.
-
-
Editorial Decision
The editor-in-chief or associate editor considers the reviewers’ feedback and makes a final decision. Authors are notified of the decision along with the reviewers’ comments. If revisions are required, authors are expected to address the feedback and resubmit the revised manuscript within the stipulated timeframe. -
Revision and Final Evaluation
Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the original reviewers or the editorial team to ensure that all concerns have been adequately addressed. Additional rounds of review may be conducted if necessary. Once approved, the manuscript is accepted for publication. -
Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading in collaboration with the author to ensure clarity and accuracy. The final version is then scheduled for publication in the upcoming issue of the journal.
