Bentuk Perlindungan Ekologi (Monta’u) Berladang.Abstract
Ekologi Monta’u (Berladang) merupakan bentuk perlindungan terhadap alam untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungannya sehingga melahirkan sebuah kearifan lokal bagi masyarakat yang dilakukan dalam sekali setahun. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui tradisi Monta’u apakah merupakan bentuk perlindungan terhadap alam dan untuk mengetahui tradisi sebagai kearifan lokal. Teori yang di gunakan yaitu Ekologi Adaptasi Budaya Julian H. Steward dengan menggunakan metode Etnografi serta teknik pemilihan informan yang dilakukan dengan cara menetapkan informan kunci kemudian menentukan informan lain dengan teknik Snowball oleh Spradley (1997) dan Bernard (1994). Di mana penelitian dapat dihentikan apabila data telah berulang dan data sudah mencukupi atau data jenuh(dimana tidak ditemukan informan baru lagi). Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengamatan terlibat (Participation Observation) dan wawancara mendalam ( Indepth Interview) serta analisi secara etnografi data yang diperoleh dari awal hingga akhir penelitian di susn dan di kelompokkan menurut bagian-bagiannya kemudian dikaitkan dengan konsep dan teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekologi berladang pada Orang Mawa merupakan bentuk perlindungan terhadap alam untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungannya sehingga melahirkan sebuah kearifan lokal dalam berladang, agar selalu terlindungi dan terjaga ekologi berladang oleh mereka sehingga tidak mengalami kepunahan karena ekologi berladang merupakan sebuah sumber kehidupan bagi masyarakat Mawa Kecamatan Wawonii Utara.
